Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks registrar grade Resident Doctors to work in the medical Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) Medicine Department at Gloucestershire Royal and Cheltenham General Hospital. Posts rotate between the two sites and are initially for 12 months, with a typical day from 9–5 and some days 11–7.

There is protected time monthly for other interests and weekly for QI/audit.

Responsibilities

• Rotating posts between Gloucestershire Royal and Cheltenham General Hospital.
• Hours are generally 9:00–17:00 with some days extending 11:00–19:00 and occasional weekend work.
• Protected time: 1 day per month for other interests (e.g., specialty clinics) and a half-day per week for non-clinical work such as QI or audit.
