Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Trust Registrar (ST3+) for its Medical SDEC unit, rotating between Gloucestershire Royal and Cheltenham General. The role offers valuable experience across several specialties in acute medicine and a balanced schedule in a busy department.

It is not recognised for training, but provides career development opportunities, including protected time for specialty clinics and non-clinical activities, with 9-5 hours and some out-of-hours work.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration and MRCP (or equivalent).
• ALS or equivalent certification.
• Experience with point-of-care ultrasound.
• Proven procedural competence per IMT3.
• Ability to work in a busy Acute/SDEC setting.

Responsibilities

• Appoint a Trust Grade Registrar (ST3+) to join the Acute Medicine service in SDEC.
• Work in the Same Day Emergency Care Unit with exposure to multiple specialties.
• Rotations between Gloucestershire Royal and Cheltenham General Hospital.
• Provide leadership and contribute to governance, audits and service development.
