Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an International Recruitment Advisor to support the recruitment of healthcare staff from overseas for the North of Scotland (NHS Grampian, Highland, Orkney and Shetland). The role is 30 hours per week, fixed term or secondment for up to 12 months, with remote working across NHS premises in the region.

You will coordinate international recruitment activity, advise managers on UK Home Office requirements and the Code of Practice, and provide pastoral support to candidates

Qualifications

• Experience in NHS recruitment.
• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, especially JobTrain.
• Knowledge of Home Office requirements for international recruitment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end international recruitment activity for the North of Scotland.
• Advise recruiting managers on international recruitment processes and Home Office rules.
• Provide pastoral support to candidates as they relocate to Scotland.
• Collaborate with NHS premises across the North of Scotland to deliver results.

Band 4 £31,537 - £34,303 per annum pro rata

As the International Recruitment Advisor you will play a crucial role in supporting the effective and efficient recruitment of our healthcare workforce from overseas for the North of Scotland (NHS Grampian, Highland, Orkney and Shetland).

Join our dynamic International Recruitment team and play a key role in helping shape the future workforce of the North of Scotland.

Working as part of a small, highly supportive team, you will deliver a responsive and professional service, coordinating end-to-end international recruitment activity across a range of healthcare professions. You will work closely with recruiting managers throughout the North of Scotland, providing expert guidance on international recruitment processes and offering exceptional pastoral support to candidates as they embark on their journey to live and work in Scotland.

We are looking for someone with experience of NHS recruitment and Applicant Tracking Systems, particularly JobTrain, together with a strong understanding of Home Office requirements and the UK Code of Practice for International Recruitment. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering a high-quality service.

The North of Scotland International Recruitment Service will be hosted by NHS Grampian, but the successful applicant can be remotely based in any of the NHS premises across the North of Scotland.
