Welbeck is seeking a capable Scrub Practitioner to join the Treatment Suite. You will provide expert scrub support across a range of procedures, ensuring sterile fields and instruments are prepared and available for patient care.

You will work with consultants and clinicians to maintain high standards of aseptic practice, infection prevention, and governance, contributing to safe, efficient, and patient-centred care within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional with theatre or procedural experience.
• Strong attention to detail and infection prevention.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Deliver safe, high-quality scrub support across a range of surgical and interventional procedures.
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, equipment, and consumables.
• Support consultants and clinicians throughout procedures, anticipating requirements and responding effectively.
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection prevention and control standards.
• Undertake surgical counts and ensure accurate documentation in line with local policies and procedures.
• Ensure equipment is checked, maintained, and reported appropriately where faults are identified.
• Contribute to patient safety initiatives, including completion of relevant safety checks and protocols.
• Maintain accurate records using electronic systems and clinical documentation processes.
• Support stock control, equipment management, and efficient use of resources.
• Escalate incidents, risks, concerns, or equipment issues promptly and appropriately.
• Work flexibly and collaboratively to support service delivery and operational needs.
