Welbeck Surgery Centre in London is seeking a Theatre Scrub Practitioner (Nurse or ODP) to join our fast-paced day surgery team. You will provide scrub and circulating support, ensure patient safety and maintain high standards of perioperative care across specialties.

Working closely with consultants, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams, the department ensures seamless perioperative care from admission through to discharge. As a Theatre Scrub Practitioner (Nurse or ODP), you will play a key role in delivering exceptional perioperative care within a modern, fast-paced surgical environment. Acting as a clinical expert within the theatre team, you will support safe and effective surgical procedures while ensuring patients receive compassionate, high quality care throughout their journey.
You will work collaboratively with consultants and colleagues across multiple specialties, undertaking scrub and circulating duties while maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice. This role also offers opportunities to take on leadership responsibility, deputising when required and contributing to the smooth running of theatre lists and daily operations.
The position requires flexibility and adaptability, with practitioners rotating across specialties in line with service needs. You will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, supporting quality initiatives, governance activities, and the development of best practice across the department.

You are a qualified Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with current NMC or HCPC registration and a strong foundation in scrub practice. You are confident working across surgical specialties and bring a proactive, patient centred approach to everything you do.
You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong working relationships with colleagues, consultants, and patients. Comfortable working in a fast paced environment, you remain organised, adaptable, and focused on delivering high standards of care under pressure.
