Job summary

SpaMedica is recruiting a Scrub Nurse for our Oxford site. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, usually four days out of six, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Salary ranges from £38,581 to £42,622 and depends on experience.

• 12 months post-graduate experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Job responsibilities

Role: Scrub Nurse

Location: 14 Blenheim Office Park, Long Hanborough, Oxford, OX29 8LN

Hours: Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, working 4 days out of 6, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Salary: £38,581 - £42,622 (Dependent on experience)

• Adhere to the principles of clinical governance.
• Admission and discharge of patients on a theatre day.
• Administer drugs in accordance to the NMC guidelines for the safe and secure handling of medicines.
• Adhere to the NMC guidelines for record keeping
• Provide scrub experience for clinical procedures.
• Follow correct procedure for reporting any accidents or incidents.
• Assist the consultant and clinical team in the delivery of all ophthalmic care.
• Prepare all areas prior to any clinical activities, ensuring all equipment is checked and ready for use.
• Ensure the correct storage of all equipment.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures.
• Assist with stock control, ensuring realistic par levels are maintained and all items are readily available.
• Manages all the theatre equipment on a daily basis.
• To ensure patient confidentiality at all times in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
