Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust in Amersham is offering a fixed-term SCPHN training post for Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting or School Nursing). You will learn to deliver the Healthy Child Programme, support families, and work within a team across Buckinghamshire.

The role supports completing the SCPHN Health Visitor course and associated placements, with flexible working considered and NHS benefits included.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse or Midwife with NMC registration and current status to practice.
Willingness to undertake V100/V300 Nurse Prescribing qualification.
Experience in community health visiting or school nursing is desirable.
Good knowledge of safeguarding and the Public Health agenda.

Responsibilities

Learn to deliver the Healthy Child Programme for 0–19 across Buckinghamshire.
Attend SCPHN Health Visitor course at the University and complete assignments.
Complete an assessed Practice Placement within a Buckinghamshire locality as part of Public Health Nursing.
Be part of the Public Health Nursing team delivering Health Visiting and School Nursing services.
