Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to join our Offshore HVAC Project Engineering team in Scotland. You will lead the HVAC scope for large capital projects, chair design reviews with contractors and stakeholders, and coordinate engineering activities across multiple teams to protect quality and safety.

Qualifications

• A degree in an appropriate engineering discipline, preferably Electrical and CEng.
• Experience leading multi-discipline project teams.
• Strong knowledge of transmission network and regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC engineering scope for large capital projects from Gate 1 to Gate 4.
• Chair meetings with contractors and stakeholders; organise design reviews.
• Coordinate engineering activities and manage consultants/contractors.
• Ensure clear technical requirements and early TA approvals.
• Promote safety, CDM compliance, and RAMS reviews.
