SSE is hiring an Assistant Engineering Manager for the Offshore HVAC Project Engineering team in Scotland. The role focuses on delivering HVDC-related offshore grid projects, with responsibilities across design reviews, contractor coordination, and TA preparation.
The successful candidate will lead engineers and ensure safety and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle. The position is permanent, full-time, with Flexible First options.
Base Location:For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office – Perth, Inverness, Aberdeen
Salary: £59,800 - £89,800 + car /car allowance + performance related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

As part of SSEN TransmissionsOffshore Portfolio of works, we have an opportunity for an Assistant Engineering Manager to join our newly formed Offshore HVAC Project Engineering team to help drive forward our Island and Offshore projects and successfully deliver a network for Net Zero. Our Island and Offshore projects facilitate the connection to our HVDC systems and include state-of the-art AC grid control and stabilisation technology.
