Job summary

Lancashire & South Cumbria Nhs Foundation Trust is seeking a clinician to provide Structured Clinical Management (SCM) for service users with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder within a Chorley Community Mental Health Team. The role involves direct contact with service users, group work, and engagement with wider community services.

Hybrid and flexible working arrangements are available after discussion with the team. SCM is evidence-based and aligns with NICE guidelines.

Qualifications

• Recognised Core Mental Health Professional Qualification (e.g. RMN, SW, OT)
• Appropriate training to support students
• In-depth knowledge of mental health problems
• Knowledge around a variety of personality presentations
• In-depth knowledge of issues that impact upon people with mental health problems
• Post qualification experience of clinical work and assessment with service users experiencing a range of mental health problems
• Experience of working with people who have a diagnosis of personality disorder
• Experience of risk assessment and management
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and communication skills both oral and written
• Time management and caseload management skills
• An ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to work collaboratively with a range of agencies
