Job summary

RELX INC is looking for a Scientific Editor to join the Device journal team in Greater London. The role involves evaluating editorial submissions, developing the journal, and coordinating special issues. Ideal candidates will have a PhD relevant to the journal's scope and strong communication skills.

Other responsibilities include attending conferences, fostering networking within research communities, and collaborating with editorial teams across Cell Press. This position is a unique opportunity for those passionate about technology and engineering research.

Qualifications

• PhD in semiconductors, neuromorphic computing, 2D materials, or electronics engineering.
• Preferred prior editorial experience; exceptional early-career candidates considered.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with researchers globally.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate editorial submissions for scientific quality.
• Develop a cohesive and impactful journal.
• Coordinate special issues with the editorial team.
• Expand networks to attract influential submissions.
• Identify manuscripts for transfer or commissioning.
• Attend conferences to promote Device.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams.
