Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Science Technician for a secondary school in Ealing, starting September 2026. You will support the science department with practical lessons, equipment preparation, and stock management in a busy lab environment.

The role requires prior lab or education setting experience, strong organisation, and a proactive approach, with an Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one, and a valid right to work in the UK. This is a full-time on-site post.

Qualifications

• Experience in a science laboratory or educational setting.
• Good knowledge of laboratory equipment and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organise equipment and materials for science lessons.
• Support practical demonstrations and classroom experiments.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained, stored safely, and readily available.
• Manage stock levels and order resources when required.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including COSHH regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised laboratory environment.
• Provide support to teaching staff across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
