Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment in the Liverpool City Region is seeking a reliable Science Technician to join a busy secondary school in Skelmersdale. This full-time role starts in September and runs until December, at 37 hours per week.

You will prepare equipment, maintain laboratory resources and support safe, engaging science lessons alongside teaching staff. Practical experience in a school setting is preferred, along with an enhanced DBS and the legal right to work in the UK.

• Previous experience as a Science Technician or within a school science department (desirable)
• A good understanding of health and safety in a laboratory setting
• An enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one)
• A full and up-to-date CV
• The legal right to work in the UK

About the Role

As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the science department by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring practical lessons run smoothly and safely. You will work closely with teaching staff to support learning across the science curriculum.
