Job summary

Aspire People is seeking an experienced Science Technician to support practical Science activities across Rhondda Cynon Taf. The role welcomes candidates with laboratory, scientific, education or technical backgrounds who enjoy hands-on work and supporting learners.

You will prepare equipment and resources, assist with demonstrations and ensure safe operation of lab equipment, while maintaining and organising Science resources. DBS checks and safeguarding are emphasized throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Science Technician, laboratory or relevant technical experience
• Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures
• Good understanding of health and safety
• Ability to prepare and organise practical resources
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good communication and teamwork
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• Experience working with children or young people desirable
• EWC registration or willingness to register
• Enhanced DBS for Children on the DBS Update Service
