Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Science Technician for a full-time role in Lewisham. You will prepare and run practical experiments, assist teaching staff, and help maintain well-organised laboratories and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has prior Science Technician experience, solid knowledge of laboratory procedures, and a relevant degree or qualification. A positive, collaborative approach will support students’ learning and school growth.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up practical experiments and demonstrations across Science subjects.
• Maintain and organise laboratories, equipment, chemicals and resources.
• Support teaching staff and students during practical lessons.
• Ensure all laboratory activities comply with health and safety requirements.
• Manage stock levels and order equipment and materials when required.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure equipment is safe and ready for use.
• Contribute to a positive, organised and engaging learning environment.
