Job summary

St George's Academy invites applications for an enthusiastic Technician to support the Science Department. The role is based mainly at the Sleaford Campus with occasional duties at Ruskington campus, full time 37 hours per week across 39 weeks per year.

You will assist with day-to-day supervision of the Science Technician team, equipment maintenance, pre-class preparation, and safe practical activity set-ups, ensuring a clean, well-stocked lab environment and compliance with Health and Safety

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar Technician/Support role.
• Willingness to work towards achieving GCSE English and Maths if needed.
• Good communication and interest in science.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day supervision of the Science Technician team.
• Maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Pre-class preparation for displays and exercises.
• Trialling practical activities and demonstrations.
• Ensure staff have equipment and materials needed.
• Keep work areas clean and tidy and comply with Health & Safety policies.
