Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust is seeking a proactive Science Technician to support the Science Department. The role mainly operates at the Sleaford Campus with occasional duties at the Ruskington campus.

Hours are 37 per week over 39 weeks, typically 8:00–16:00, with some early finish one day weekly. You will manage the Technician team, prepare for classes, and ensure safety and readiness of equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is essential.
• Minimum of 2 GCSEs English and Maths (grade 9–4 / A*–C) or equivalent.
• Experience in education is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Line management and supervision of the Science Technician team.
• Maintain and clean equipment and materials.
• Pre-class preparation for displays and experiments.
• Trial practical activities and ensure equipment/materials are available for staff.
• Keep work areas clean and tidy.
• Support staff with science demonstrations and experiments.
