Job description

Job title: Science Technician

Location: Sheffield Springs Academy, Hurlfield Road, Sheffield, S12 2SF

Salary: FTE £26,000 gross per annum pro rata (actual £24,160), starting salary.

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time, 37.5 hours/week, 42 weeks/year

Start date: As soon as possible

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Science Technician to join Sheffield Springs Academy.

This is an excellent opportunity to work at an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ academy, part of United Learning, a national group of schools. You will work with an established team to deliver a professional, customer-focused service. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are essential. The successful candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a team player

  • Has GCSE English and Maths A-C grades or equivalent
  • Has experience using science equipment
  • Has sound knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
