About The Role

Qualifications Required: Good numeracy and literacy skills, at least equivalent to RQF Level 2; NVQ L2 or 3 qualification in relevant discipline, e.g., NVQ Laboratory & Associated Technical Activities or L2 in Laboratory Technical Skills, or equivalent
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Salary: £25,884 - £27,269 per annum

About The Candidate

What We Want From You:

  • A science background with laboratory experience as a science technician;
  • NVQ L2 or 3 qualification in relevant discipline, e.g., NVQ Laboratory & Associated Technical Activities or L2 in Laboratory Technical Skills, or equivalent;
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills, at least equivalent to RQF Level 2, with excellent IT skills;
  • Strong communication, written, and interpersonal skills;
  • Confidence in preparing chemicals and safely setting up science experiments;
  • Knowledge of safe working practices, Health & Safety legislation, COSHH, CLEAPSS, and ESCC regulations;
  • Well-organized, professional, flexible, and positive approach;
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively;
  • Supportive of the school's high staff attendance and punctuality standards.
