Job summary

Chellaston Academy in the East Midlands is seeking a proactive Science Technician to support outstanding science education. You will prepare and maintain equipment, stock materials, and ensure safety in the laboratory to enable engaging practical lessons.

Working closely with teaching staff, you will help create a well-organised learning space, manage resources, and promote high standards of health and safety while supporting students and colleagues.

Job description

As a Science Technician at Chellaston Academy, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of outstanding science education by ensuring that practical lessons are well-prepared, safe, and engaging. Working closely with teaching staff, you will prepare and maintain equipment, materials, and laboratory resources, helping to create a stimulating learning environment where students can develop their scientific knowledge and skills. This is a varied and hands-on role that requires excellent organisation, a commitment to health and safety, and a proactive approach to supporting both staff and students.
