Job summary

St John Fisher Catholic Voluntary Academy in Dewsbury is seeking a Science Technician to support the delivery of high quality science education. You will prepare materials and equipment for practical lessons, maintain laboratory resources, and help create a safe and productive learning environment for students and staff.

Hours are 8.00am – 4.00pm, Monday to Friday term time, plus 10 days. Salary is Grade 7, Points 14–15, in the range £26,989 to £27,625 FTE.

Job description

We are seeking to appoint a Science Technician to join our dedicated support team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality science education by preparing materials and equipment for practical lessons, maintaining laboratory resources, and ensuring a safe and effective learning environment for students and staff. As student numbers continue to grow, we are looking to strengthen our support provision to ensure that our Science department continues to deliver engaging, practical, and inspiring learning experiences for all students.
