Job summary

Matthew Moss High School in Rochdale is seeking a reliable Science Technician to support the delivery of high-quality science education. The role involves preparing materials and equipment for practical lessons, maintaining lab safety, and assisting staff across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

You will work closely with teaching staff to ensure laboratories are well-equipped, organised and compliant with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school or educational setting.
• Experience as a Science Technician or within a science-based environment is desirable.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good understanding of laboratory health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Matthew Moss High School is seeking a reliable, organised and proactive Science Technician to join its busy Science department as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with previous school-based experience who is looking to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality science education.

Working closely with teaching staff, you will help prepare practical lessons, maintain equipment and ensure laboratories are safe, organised and fully equipped for day-to-day learning.

The Role
