Job summary

Elementa Support Services Ltd is recruiting Science teachers to fill multiple roles across Somerset. Roles cover KS3 and KS4 with some KS5 opportunities in Biology, Chemistry or Physics, and require QTS or equivalent. We welcome both new and experienced teachers in a varied landscape of schools.

We support teachers through recruitment, vetting and DBS checks, with ongoing development and a positive working environment in North Somerset.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A passion for Science and inspiring young people.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging and well-planned Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 opportunities available in some schools).
• Deliver lessons across the Science curriculum, with opportunities to specialise in Biology, Chemistry or Physics where appropriate.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Assess, monitor and support student progress.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the ongoing success of the Science department and wider school community.
