Job summary

Academics is recruiting a Science Teacher for a secondary PRU in Kettering. The role focuses on delivering engaging Science lessons to pupils with SEMH in a smaller-class setting.

You will build strong relationships, implement creative teaching methods, and support pupils who may have faced challenges in mainstream education. Salary ranges £160–£250 per day depending on scale and experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status or relevant teaching experience.
• Strong subject knowledge across Science.
• Experience teaching secondary-aged pupils.
• Confident, consistent behaviour management.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils who may have barriers to learning.
• Experience within a PRU, AP, SEMH or SEND setting would be advantageous.
• Creative and engaging approach to lesson delivery.
• Passion for helping young people achieve their potential.
