Hays are working with a dedicated SEN school committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for students with SEN and Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Our mission is to empower every student to achieve their full potential through tailored educational programs and a nurturing community.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Science Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible science lessons to a class of six students with SEN and SEMH needs. You will work closely with other staff members to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and deliver differentiated science lessons that cater to the individual needs of students.
  2. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other staff.
  3. Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and enhance their learning.
  4. Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
  5. Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  6. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  2. Experience teaching science, preferably in an SEN setting.
  3. Strong understanding of special educational needs and inclusive teaching practices.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Patience, creativity, and a commitment to supporting the development of all students.
  6. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
