Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking passionate Science Teachers for opportunities in Wigan and Warrington. Roles include KS3–KS5 Biology, Chemistry, Physics or General Science across multiple schools.

We welcome experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as part of a supportive secondary network, with opportunities for long-term, fixed-term, maternity cover, permanent roles or daily supply.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• A relevant Science degree or teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Science within a UK secondary school.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons.

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting Science Teachers for a variety of opportunities across our partner secondary schools in Wigan and Warrington.

Science remains an important area of recruitment for schools, and we are keen to hear from teachers specialising in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or general Science.

Our partner schools regularly require teachers for:

• Long-term placements
• Fixed-term contracts

We welcome applications from experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to establish their career in a supportive secondary school environment.

The role

Depending on the opportunity, you could be teaching KS3 Science, GCSE Science or individual Biology, Chemistry or Physics courses at KS4 and KS5.

You may be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons
• Differentiating learning to meet the needs of individual students
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour
• Assessing and monitoring student progress
• Preparing students for GCSE and A Level examinations where appropriate
• Working collaboratively with Science department colleagues

We're looking for:
