Science teacher job in Caerphilly. Full-time, long-term opportunity.

Your new school
Hays are working with a secondary school in Caerphilly with over 900 pupils to find a Science Teacher. The school encourages the pupils to take a proactive and creative approach to learning, allowing them to develop. The leadership team have a clear vision for the school and communicate it very well to create an inclusive ethos and a strong community feeling.

Your new role
Starting ASAP, you will be a key part of the dedicated Science department, teaching a varied timetable including full teaching responsibilities such as:

  1. Teach KS3 - KS5
  2. Nurture a range of learning abilities
  3. Staff meetings
  4. Parent's evenings
  5. Pastoral responsibilities
  6. Planning and preparation of lessons
  7. Marking and assessment

This is your chance to put your mark on a school and implement success through your teaching.

What you'll need to succeed:

  1. Qualified teaching Status or PCET with Science experience
  2. Experience of teaching science in a secondary school
  3. Proven track record of helping students
  4. Strong classroom management skills
  5. Registered with the Education Workforce Council
  6. Hold a DBS check on the update service or be willing to obtain one
