Science teacher job in Caerphilly. Full-time, long-term opportunity.

Your new school: Hays are working with a secondary school in Caerphilly with over 900 pupils to find a Science Teacher. The school encourages the pupils to take a proactive and creative approach to learning, allowing them to develop. The leadership team have a clear vision for the school and communicate it very well to create an inclusive ethos and a strong community feeling.

Your new role: Starting ASAP, you will be a key part of the dedicated Science department, teaching a varied timetable including full teaching responsibilities such as:

  1. Teach KS3 - KS5
  2. Nurture a range of learning abilities
  3. Staff meetings
  4. Parent's evenings
  5. Pastoral responsibilities
  6. Planning and preparation of lessons
  7. Marking and assessment

What you'll need to succeed:

  1. Qualified teaching Status or PCET with Science experience
  2. Experience of teaching science in a secondary school
  3. Proven track record of helping students
  4. Strong classroom management skills
  5. Registered with the Education Workforce Council
  6. Hold a DBS check on the update service or be willing to obtain one
