Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of professional duties and responsibilities of teachers.
• Ensure adherence to statutory frameworks and Teachers’ Standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan teaching and differentiate to build on student capabilities and needs (e.g. EAL, disabilities).
• Use diverse strategies to create a positive learning environment and maximise achievement.
• Utilise data to monitor progress, set targets, and plan subsequent lessons.
• Prepare and develop teaching materials, programmes and pastoral arrangements.
• Review effectiveness of teaching and assessment procedures and their impact on progress and wellbeing.
• Be accountable for attainment and progress of your students, and contribute to curriculum development.
• Promote high literacy standards and accurate use of spoken English.
• Provide regular feedback and set targets for student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to secure coordinated outcomes and share best practice.
