Job summary

Catering is seeking a Science teacher to plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics for Key Stages 3 and 4 in Bournemouth.

The ideal candidate holds QTS or an equivalent qualification, with strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom management. You will contribute to curriculum development and participate in school life, including enrichment activities and parents’ evenings.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for Science education.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Experience teaching Science in a secondary school (desirable for ECTs).
• Degree in a Science-related subject is desirable.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and parents’ evenings.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, attendance, and achievement.

We are looking for someone who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Has a degree in a Science-related subject (desirable but nt essential)
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science education.
• Has excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Is committed to raising standards and improving student outcomes.
• Works effectively as part of a team and contributes positively to school life.
• Has experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting (desirable but not essential for ECTs).
