Job summary

GSL Education in Hartlepool is seeking a qualified Science Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Immediate start for flexible full-time or part-time day-to-day/long-term placements in Hartlepool.

You will create practical, investigative lessons, assess progress, and uphold safeguarding standards while supporting DBS checks. A QTS or equivalent qualification is required with strong subject knowledge and classroom management.

Qualifications

• QTS or recognised equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum.
• Experience teaching Science across relevant key stages is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

Pay Rate: £150 - £220 per day (depending on experience)

As a Science Teacher, you will have the opportunity to deliver engaging lessons that strengthen scientific knowledge, investigative skills, analytical thinking, and confidence in both theoretical and practical work.

Science Teacher Responsibilities:

Science Teacher Requirements:

• Confidence managing practical activities and maintaining appropriate laboratory safety
• Effective planning, assessment, communication, and classroom management skills
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
