Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting enthusiastic Secondary Science Teachers (QTS essential) to join partner schools across Torbay and surrounding South Devon. Daily supply, general cover, and long-term roles offer flexible work and competitive daily rates.

Deliver Biology, Chemistry and Physics to KS3/KS4, maintain engaging classrooms, and enjoy a balanced schedule with no after-hours planning for day‑to‑day supply work.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or ECT status is essential.
• Strong classroom management skills and secondary curriculum knowledge.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through Randstad).
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Science Cover Teaching: Deliver Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons across KS3/KS4.
• General Cover Teacher Duties across a range of secondary subjects as required.
• Classroom & Behaviour Management in line with school policies.
• Leave at 3:30 pm with zero evening planning or marking for day‑to‑day supply assignments.

Job Title: Secondary Science Teacher (QTS Required)

Location: Torbay & Surrounding Areas (Torquay, Paignton, Brixham)

Position Type: Daily Supply, Short-Term & Long-Term Cover

Working Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Daily Pay Rate: £130 - £160 per day (Paid to scale for long-term roles)
