Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting qualified Secondary Science Teachers to join partner secondary schools across Torbay and surrounding South Devon. This role covers daily supply, general cover, and long-term assignments with competitive daily rates.

Working hours are 8:30 am–3:30 pm, and successful candidates will deliver Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons while maintaining high standards of pupil behaviour and learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• QTS or ECT status is essential.
• Strong classroom management skills and knowledge of secondary curriculum.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons across KS3–KS4.
• Provide high-quality general cover across secondary subjects as needed.
• Maintain a structured, safe classroom in line with school policies.
• Leave at 3:30 pm with no after-hours planning or marking for day-to-day supply.

Job Title: Secondary Science Teacher (QTS Required)

Location: Torbay & Surrounding Areas (Torquay, Paignton, Brixham)

Position Type: Daily Supply, Short-Term & Long-Term Cover

Working Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Daily Pay Rate: £130 - £160 per day (Paid to scale for long-term roles)

• Work-Life Balance: Leave at 3:30 pm with zero evening planning or marking for day‑to‑day supply assignments.

Candidate Requirements
