Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a qualified Science Teacher for EN9 to start ASAP. This is a long-term, full-time position paid on a pay-to-scale basis depending on experience.

The successful candidate will hold QTS and have experience teaching science at secondary level with a strong knowledge of the science curriculum, and the ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons with solid classroom management. You must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undergo safeguarding checks and

Qualifications

• QTS required and able to teach science to secondary students.
• Solid knowledge of the UK science curriculum and exam specs.
• Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging science lessons.
• Demonstrated classroom management and behaviour improvement skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging science lessons to timetable requirements.
• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and student engagement.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching as needed.
• Collaborate with faculty to support curriculum delivery and student outcomes.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level
• Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum

• Good classroom and behaviour management skills

To Be Eligible for This Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:

• Have the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
• Provide a minimum of two professional references covering the last 24 months (academic references can be accepted where appropriate)
