Job summary

Ivy Resource Group is currently recruiting a Science Teacher with a Biology specialism to join a secondary school in Devizes from 20th November 2026 until Christmas, with the potential for the role to continue beyond the initial booking.

This role requires QTS or an equivalent recognised qualification and suits either an experienced Science Teacher or an ECT seeking valuable classroom experience. You will deliver Biology-focused KS3/KS4 science and contribute to a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting.
• Has strong subject knowledge, particularly within Biology.
• Can confidently teach Science across KS3 and KS4.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
• Has strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Is passionate about achieving the best outcomes for students.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Location: Devizes, Wiltshire

Start Date: 20th November 2026

Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

Salary: £170 - £250 per day depending on experience (Holiday Pay - 12.07% of your day rate is accrued into your holiday pot)

Ivy Resource Group is currently recruiting for a Science Teacher with a Biology specialism to join a secondary school in Devizes from 20th November 2026 until Christmas, with the potential for the role to continue beyond the initial booking.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Teacher who is passionate about helping students develop a strong understanding of scientific concepts and encouraging curiosity within the classroom. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a particular focus on Biology.
