Job summary

Ivy Resource Group is seeking a Science Teacher with a Biology specialism to join a secondary school in Devizes from 20th November 2026 for a long‑term assignment through Christmas, with potential extension.

The role involves delivering engaging Biology-focused Science lessons to KS3 and KS4, planning, assessing, and differentiating to meet all abilities while safeguarding student welfare.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of Biology and the ability to teach KS3/KS4.
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour for learning.

Science Teacher - Long-Term Opportunity

Location: Devizes, Wiltshire
Start Date: 20th November 2026
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: £170 - £250 per day depending on experience (Holiday Pay - 12.07% of your day rate is accrued into your holiday pot)

Ivy Resource Group is currently recruiting for a Science Teacher with a Biology specialism to join a secondary school in Devizes from 20th November 2026 until Christmas, with the potential for the role to continue beyond the initial booking.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Teacher who is passionate about helping students develop a strong understanding of scientific concepts and encouraging curiosity within the classroom. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a particular focus on Biology.

The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will:

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Can confidently teach Science across KS3 and KS4.
