The Francis Crick Institute seeks a seasoned Science News Editor to uncover and share the Crick's story of discovery. You will transform complex biomedical research into engaging prose, shaping content across print, digital and social channels and building influential media relationships.

You'll lead the Crick magazine, develop high-impact features, and collaborate with world-leading scientists and a talented communications team to raise the institute's profile globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, physics or related field or equivalent scientific understanding.
• Outstanding portfolio of scientific articles and public-facing communications.
• Experience as science journalist or editor with commissioning and editing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Crick's science narrative across print, digital and social channels.
• Edit The Crick magazine and shape high-impact science news and features.
• Develop strategic media coverage to raise visibility and reputation of Crick science.
