Staffordshire University Academy is seeking a lead practitioner to join our science team. The role targets experienced science teachers with leadership potential and a strong focus on professional development and evidence-based practice.

You will model outstanding classroom practice, lead faculty development projects, and collaborate with senior leaders to enhance student outcomes across science and the broader curriculum.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced science teacher or aspiring to leadership in science
• Strong commitment to professional development and evidence-informed practice
• Ability to coach colleagues and support CPD across the faculty

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality science teaching to mixed-ability groups
• Lead an aspect of faculty development within science
• Support maths curriculum delivery to meet student needs
• Use assessment data to drive improvements in student progress
• Provide leadership and coaching to colleagues across the science faculty
• Collaborate with students, parents/carers and leaders to support achievement
