KPI Education is recruiting for a Science Technician at a busy secondary school in Bushey, Hertfordshire. Start date September 2026. Salary £25,000–£28,000 per annum; this is a full-time role with term-time working arrangements.

The post offers behind-the-scenes support to ensure practical science lessons run safely and effectively. The successful candidate will hold a 2:1 STEM degree or higher, have strong organisational and communication skills, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative

Qualifications

• A 2:1 STEM degree or above from a recognised institution.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and ability to work effectively within a team.

• Interest in supporting science education and students.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory equipment, apparatus, and materials for practical lessons.
• Organise chemicals and resources for experiments across KS3–KS5.
• Assist teaching staff during demonstrations and practical investigations.
• Maintain clean, organised, and fully stocked laboratories.
• Monitor inventory levels and help source new laboratory supplies.
• Maintain accurate records of chemicals, equipment, and consumables.
• Adhere to COSHH and laboratory health and safety procedures.
• Support practical assessments and examinations.
