Job summary

USP College is seeking a hands-on technician to support engineering practical lessons, prepare apparatus, and maintain equipment in a safe environment. You will work with teaching staff to deliver projects, ensuring health & safety compliance and effective student support.

The role emphasizes practical guidance, safeguarding responsibilities, and the ability to manage stock, risk assessments, and college policies as part of a flexible, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• A qualification in a Science subject at least A Level or equivalent.
• High standards of communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work as a team.
• A strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work with teaching staff in engineering areas to support practical lessons.
• Prepare required apparatus, supply equipment, and maintain stock control.
• Ensure Health & Safety requirements are followed during activities.
• Provide practical assistance and guidance to students and project work.
