Job summary

Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys is seeking an enthusiastic Science Technician to assist across all three science specialisms and support teachers with lesson delivery. The role involves preparing classrooms, apparatus and materials for staff and students, while ensuring safe and efficient teaching and learning.

The ideal candidate will have a science qualification to A-level or equivalent and, ideally, technician or laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as a laboratory technician or in a school science setting.
• Ability to prepare and order materials for science lessons.
• Maintenance of equipment and machines in a teaching laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Support across all three Science specialisms in delivering the curriculum.
• Assist in the maintenance and preparation of classrooms, apparatus and materials.
• Contribute to safe, effective and efficient teaching and learning.
• Support and potentially lead extracurricular science clubs.
