The role involves preparing equipment for lessons, assisting with demonstrations, setting up and clearing activities, and maintaining kit and safety standards to support daily school science activities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a laboratory, science or school environment.
• Good knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and high organisation.
• A proactive and reliable approach to tasks.
• Comfortable working with staff and students and following health & safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Preparing equipment and materials for practical science lessons.
• Supporting teachers with practical demonstrations and experiments.
• Setting up and clearing away practical activities.
• Maintaining laboratory equipment and resources.
• Ensuring laboratories are clean, safe and well organised.
• Managing stock levels and ordering equipment and materials.
• Following appropriate health and safety procedures.
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the Science Department.
