Job summary

Orchard Manor School, part of Coast and Vale Learning Trust, seeks an HLTA with Science Technician responsibilities to join our dedicated team. You will prepare resources, equipment and practical materials, maintaining safe learning spaces and supporting pupils to engage in practical Science activities.

The role involves working with individuals and small groups under supervision, ensuring inclusive, well-prepared science experiences and safeguarding best practices across the school.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children in an education setting, particularly pupils with SEND, is essential.
• Experience or training linked to Science, practical learning, laboratory support or technical support in an education setting would be desirable.
• Good organisational, communication and IT skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare resources, equipment and practical materials for science activities.
• Maintain safe and well-organised learning environments and stock for science spaces.
• Support pupils to access planned Science activities, individually or in small groups under teacher direction.
