Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group is seeking a proactive Schools and Events Officer to join our Marketing and Student Recruitment team in Kent. You will help create and run an annual program of school events and community activities, coordinating open events and outreach initiatives across East Kent.

Travel to various locations will be required to engage learners and stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator with strong organisational and interpersonal skills, capable of delivering

Qualifications

  • Experience creating and delivering engaging presentations or workshops
  • Experience working with young people would be an advantage
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

About The Role

Support our Outreach Events, Promote Educational Opportunities and Inspire Student Success - Join us as Schools and Events Officer

We are looking for a Schools and Events Officer to join our Marketing and Student Recruitment team.

Schools and Events Officers support the creation and delivery of an annual calendar of events and activities in local schools and within communities across East Kent, alongside the coordination of College open events.

As an Officer, you will play a vital role in raising the aspirations of young people and increasing awareness of the wide range of education opportunities available at EKC Group. This is done through a series of planned workshops, presentations, and well-planned events.

The role includes frequent travel around our communities and a large amount of collaboration with a range of colleagues from our Colleges and Business Units, as well as external stakeholders from a range of professions.

About You

We are seeking to appoint one Schools and Events Officer who is a confident and enthusiastic communicator with excellent creative and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will be required to travel around East Kent to meet with both internal and external stakeholders, alongside delivering a wide range of engaging initiatives to learners in a range of settings. Experience creating and delivering engaging presentations or workshops, and/or working with young people would be an advantage.

The ideal candidate will have fantastic organisational and administrative skills, enjoy working in a small team and meeting new people alongside a good attention to detail.
