Job summary

Hawes Side Primary Academy is seeking a caring Welfare Assistant to join our friendly team. You will help support the health, safety and wellbeing of our pupils throughout the school day, displaying empathy, reliability and clear communication.

The role includes basic first aid, recording welfare concerns and liaising with parents and staff. Previous experience with children is desirable, and the position is 10 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is desirable.
• Ability to provide compassionate support and maintain confidentiality.
• Approachable and confident when caring for pupils.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' health and welfare needs throughout the school day.
• Provide basic first aid and care for pupils who become unwell.
• Record accidents, illnesses and welfare concerns accurately.
• Communicate with parents/carers and staff as required.
• Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and promote a safe environment.
