Job summary

Action for Children is hiring a Wellbeing Practitioner for the Eilean Siar service in the Outer Hebrides. Based in Benbecula, you will focus on promoting mental health, resilience, and early intervention for children and young people in secondary settings.

Training is provided, and supervision is available. The role involves delivering 1-1 support and group work, liaising with families and partner agencies, and using CBT-based approaches.

Qualifications

• Ideally an HNC or degree in a relevant subject.
• Understanding of mental health and wellbeing.
• Knowledge of safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellbeing support tailored to children and young people.
• Provide 1-1 confidential support and run group sessions.
• Work with families and multi-agency partners to promote early intervention.
