Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an Education Support Worker to join a specialist primary school in Bury, supporting pupils aged 3-11 with ASD, SLD and PMLD.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, helping pupils achieve personalised EHCP targets, develop communication and social skills, and engage in sensory and practical activities alongside teachers and SEND specialists.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Qualifications or training in SEND are required.
• Knowledge of PECS, Makaton or AAC communication methods.
• Ability to work 1:1 and in small groups.
• Caring, patient and nurturing approach.

Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring and dedicated Education Support Worker to join a specialist primary school supporting pupils aged 3-11 with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assist with personalised learning plans and EHCP targets
• Encourage communication, independence, and social development
• Support sensory, play-based, and practical learning activities
• Work alongside teachers, therapists, and SEND specialists
• Provide personal care where required
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
