Job summary

Academics Ltd in Bletchley is seeking a School Support Worker to provide 1:1 and small-group support to children and young people with autism and SEMH needs in a specialist educational setting.

You will help learners manage emotions, regulate behaviour, and navigate challenging situations, building positive relationships while following individual plans to support engagement and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship cannot be offered.
• Availability for a full-time position.
• Experience in support work, residential care, youth work, mental health, education or similar setting is desirable.
• Understanding of autism, SEMH needs or behaviours that challenge is beneficial.
• Calm, resilient and proactive approach when dealing with challenging situations.
• Confidence setting boundaries while maintaining positive relationships.
• Genuine interest in helping young people develop confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.

School Support Worker - Bletchley

We are recruiting a dedicated School Support Worker in Bletchley, supporting children and young people with autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs within a specialist educational setting.

Whether you have experience in residential care, youth work, mental health support, education or working with challenging behaviour, this could be the ideal next step. We are looking for someone who is resilient, confident and keen to build positive relationships with young people who need additional support.

• Pay: £16.00 per hour
• Hours: Full-time
• Contract: Temporary, with potential for ongoing work

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
