Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking School Sports Coaches for a Bath PRU, supporting secondary-aged pupils with challenging behaviours and additional needs. The role blends sport delivery with vocational support and academic encouragement in a structured setting.

Candidates with a strong background in sport, coaching or youth work, and the ability to adapt quickly, are encouraged to apply. DBS checks and safeguarding compliance are required; this is a temporary position in a rewarding

Qualifications

• Strong background in sport, coaching or youth work
• Adaptable professional who can respond confidently to change
• Experience supporting students with complex needs or SEMH is desirable

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of sport, physical activity and vocational programmes
• Build positive relationships with pupils who may have trauma or SEMH needs
• Work with teaching staff to reinforce learning, manage behaviour and motivate pupils
• Help pupils achieve progress in line with personal targets
• Encourage participation, build confidence and model professional behaviour
