Job description

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a School Social Worker to work full-time based in Haringey.

The salary for this permanent School Social Worker job is up to £47,857 per annum.

Responsibilities:
  • To provide high-quality social work services in schools according to each school’s formal agreement.
  • To work with students referred to the School Social Worker on a variety of issues, providing a non-judgmental, caring, and confidential environment for them to work through their challenges and difficulties.
  • To liaise and work with parents and families to ensure that the young person’s needs are being met and family issues addressed.
  • To ensure that priority is given to the Safeguarding Policy and procedures in all work undertaken.
  • To help identify factors affecting an individual student's well-being and behavior in school and at home and to facilitate appropriate interventions with other professionals and agencies where necessary.
  • To maintain and develop up-to-date relevant skills and knowledge of current legislation, policy, and social work practice.
  • To ensure that all legislation and local council policies regarding Health and Safety are adhered to.
  • These activities may be varied from time to time to meet the changing needs of the service.
Requirements:
  • A social work qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Social Work England registered.
